We’d be cautious about reading worksheets as evidence of rigor this young; to us that’s a thin signal, and the research points somewhere far more interesting.
Responsive caregiving in daycare isn’t a tone, it’s a loop that has to close: your child signals, an adult reads it accurately, and the answer arrives while the signal is still fresh. Warmth without accuracy leaves a child unanswered, which is why we’d tell you to judge a room by its misses.
The truth about an infant room isn’t in a brochure — it’s in who answers a baby’s cry, how bottles follow hunger cues, and who stays with sleeping babies. Stand still near the door for a while, at our Harrison campus on South 3rd Street or anywhere you tour, and count the answered sounds.
Given the choice between one big outing and a small ritual you can repeat every weekend, pick the ritual. Pancakes and a puzzle every Saturday will outwork one expensive day out, and they ask far less of you.
